Firstly to introduce ourselves, we are a group of travel and tourism students and we are deeply interested in the heritage and culture of the UK. So the purpose of this blog is to appreciate, recognize and interpret heritage and cultural attraction within the travel and tourism sector. We will talk about the purpose of these attractions including the general purpose and the education side, recreation and entertainment purposes. Furthermore we will discuss the customers and look at the type of groups and visitor levels within that attraction. Moreover part of our blog will consist of understanding the different methods and media use to interpret the heritage and culture industry. We will also look at ‘meeting the audience needs’, how important this is and different strategies used to reach an effective interpretation.
